Been waiting 30 years to see them, and it was worth the wait. I expected it to be really good, but they far exceeded my expectations. CH's voice and energy is INCREDIBLE, and the amazing JW's lead guitar was on fire. The crowd (mostly gray hairs no less) stood and rocked the entire show - there was no way to stay seated with the Pretender's sizzling energy and perfect sound. I've been a big fan of live music for 50 years (yes I'm 67) and have seen just about everything. They are among the best live bands I've ever seen, and hope they return to St. Louis soon. Don't miss them.

PRETENDERS STILL ROCK
My wife and I saw The Pretenders for the first time at the Peabody in STL July 18, 2018.
They were FABULOUS!!! Chrissy looks, GREAT! Her voice is as strong as ever and so
unique. We loved her stage presence as she rocked it with her style, moves, guitar slung
low, crowd interaction etc. The band is VERY tight and RED HOT. The lead guitarist and
drummer are amazing! That guitarist is unbelievably fast and furious! The opening act,
THE RAILS, were awesome too (same guitar player only on acoustic). We loved the set
list but wished they would have played longer. Our only complaint is we spent the
money to sit in the 4th row and the entire crowd stood during the whole show which is a
compliment to to band, but it sure would have been nice to be able to sit down and see
from the 4th row. Way to go CHRISSY! Hope you come back to STL soon?

PRETENDERS @ RYMAN = AWESOME
Couple of firsts for us - Pretenders & Ryman Theater. Great iconic venue and fabulous
show. Chrissie was outstanding - voice & attitude were spot on. Band was tight and
guitarist smoking. Great show - one of the best we've seen.

PRETENDERS
Saw the Pretenders at the Ryman Monday
night and it was of the top shows I've ever
seen, and I've seen a lot. Chrissy was spot on
and the band as tight as it gets. Thank you
girlfriend for bringing the energy to this
great venue

AMAZING!
From the moment the band and Chrissy hit the stage, the crowd stood up and pretty
much stayed standing the entire show. Vocally spot on with an incredible band, the
Ryman got properly rocked!!!!!

PRETENDERS LIVE AT THE FILLMORE SILVER SPRING, MD
This iconic band played at Fillmore, in Silver Spring, MD last night, it's a very cool, intimate venue, and we are still feeling the effects of the energy of Chrissie and the Band! She sounds like she did in the 80s,maybe better. She rocked the house, played lots of her new stuff and lots of her legendary songs, so happy to be turned on to her new masterpieces, very exciting to hear new songs that will become favorites. We have seen hundreds of shows over the decades and this show is in the top 5, her voice is sweet strong and her playing is awesome. Her badass Attitude and Authenticity was palpable and she rocked the house. The whole evening was sensational! The only crappy thing that happened was the few idiots, who came to the show for the purpose of taking video and pics and upsetting The Pretender's and Fans. (and for trying to exploit Musicians).

BEST CONCERT EVER
If you want to be thoroughly entertained
with one of the best female rock vocals of all
time by all means run to The Pretenders
concert. Chrissie Hynde is stellar ! Her voice
is as clean and clear as the first time i ever
heard her sing her hits from The Singles
album. Chrissie Hynde delivers the goods
from Back on the Chain gang to Brass in
Pocket. Her voice is unwaivered. Oh the
irony of that name...The Pretenders.

CHRISSIE HYNDE AND THE PRETENDERS
Incredible performance at such a very small an intimate amphitheater! Despite some early and minor sound engineering issues with the lead guitar - the overall performance was spot on, very clean sound and the band put on a flawless performance. Chrissie Hynde's voice was pure, powerful and same as she sang in the late 70's. The band's overall performance could not have been any better!

THE PRETENDERS SAN FRANCISCO MASONIC - 6.22.18
I've probably seen around 500 shows in my life, and this is in the top 10 - maybe the
top 5. This was the first stop of the NA tour, and Chrissie Hynde danced out - a
slouch with arms swaying and fingers snapping. They started and didn't stop, ripping
through the old, the new, and the unexpected. I love the relationship between
Hynde and Martin Chambers. He was going too long on a drum solo - leading into
Middle Of The Road, and she turned around and yelled, "Are you alright?!" He
stopped, pushed over the snare, and they shredded the song. I love this version of
the band, and she was in incredible form. If you are lucky enough to have the chance
to see this - take it.

10 STAR PERFORMANCE BY THE PRETENDERS
Incredible performance. Christie Hynde never sounded better, hard as
nails persona with a velvet voice, only drawback were the immature
adults that insisted on using their cellphones despite being told
repeatedly not to.

NEVER SAW THEM BETTER
My 4th X seeing the Pretenders (first 2X @The Tower in the 1980s, 3rd time @ElectricFactory about 7 or 8 years ago). I do not recall them putting on a better performance than on 3/31.
I thought CH was extra into it and the band was magnificent. Nothing like Martin Chambers on drums. Also loved they did two encores.
She was in great voice, sold out crowd really digging everything.
Getting to The Tower and finding parking readily is indeed a challenge but the payoff of the show (including a fine opening act) made it more than worth it.
Did not eat in neighborhood.
Our seats (4th row Loge) and view were excellent. The acoustics for the music were very good but I could not hear CH's spoken words (or those of the lead Singer of the Opening act) at all.
Overall this show made me want to get back to The Tower soon and to see these icons perform for the 5th X some day.

THE PRETENDERS ROCK THE ORPHEUM.
Wine isn't the only thing hat gets better with
age. There is no substitute for musicianship
and heart. Chrissie Hynde has that times
100!. They looked cool confident and
genuine up there. I will say more when I
come down the cloud I'm still on. Thank you
Pretenders, kick ass.

INCREDIBLE CONCERT
The Pretenders concert in Boston last night was incredible. I knew it
would be great, but it exceeded all expectation.
Chrissy’s voice is still as rich and strong as ever. The lead guitarist
really was fabulous!
Orpheum is a great venue to see a show like this. Great acoustics and
just the right size.
Eric from DELCO, Pennsylvania
FANTASTIC SHOW!
"Gramdma" Chrissie makes it all look
so easy! Fantastic show at the perfect
venue!

PRETENDERS
They rocked the house! Awesome show!

PRETENDERS DELIVER AT THE TOWER THEATER!
The Tower is a great venue, once you're inside. Give yourself plenty of
time to arrive as traffic and parking can be a mess. After a fine
warmup group, everyone rose to their feet when CH and the rest of
the band came out and most stayed standing the whole concert. This
was the best concert I've seen in the last several years! They were on
fire, feeding off the energy of the crowd and giving it back in equal
measure! Superb!

CHRISTIE TORE THE PLACE DOWN LAST NIGHT
Martin Chambers is still touring with her, and he absulotely crushed it
on his drum set.
Do you want to see a lead guitar great? Her guitarist, James
Walbourne almost, ALMOST, stole the show. But that’s impossible
when Christie sings pitch perfect lead.
So many tracks off het first album.....it was like stepping back into my
20s.
